Explanation of Painting: As the voice of many rushing waters and angels wings, the 'clouds' descend upon Saul Church in Downpatrick, the traditional site of St. Patricks first church. Out from the 'cloud' of wittnesses shines the Celtic cross, the symbol of so many who shined the Light of Christ in a land filled with the darkness of the Druids. Signs, wonders, and the Light of Glory emanated from the lives of the early Celtic believers. As the 'ancient wells' are re-opened in the Spirit, once again the Light of Christ will shine throughout Ireland, and the Glory of the Lord will cover Ireland as the waters cover the sea.
